General description

The TDA1566 is a car audio power amplifier with a complementary output stage realized in BCDMOS. The TDA1566 has two Bridge Tied Load (BTL) output stages and comes in a HSOP24 or DBS27P package. The TDA1566 can be controlled with or without I2C-bus. With I2C-bus control gain settings per channel and diagnostic trigger levels can be selected. Failure conditions as well as load identification can be read with I2C-bus. The load identification detects whether the outputs of a BTL channel are connected with a DC or AC load and discriminates between a speaker load, a line driver load and an open (unconnected) load. The TDA1566 can be configured in a single BTL mode and drive a 1 Ω load. For the single BTL mode it is necessary to connect on the Printed-Circuit Board (PCB) the outputs of both BTL channels in parallel.

15-W MONO CLASS-D AUDIO POWER AMPLIFIER

General Description

The TMPA401DM is a bridged-tied (BTL) Class-D audio amplifier for driving speakers with high power efficiency. It can drive 4Ω, 6Ω, 8Ω or 16Ω speakers. The output power can be up to 15W. No external heat-sink is necessary. The gain of the amplifier is defined by input resistance. The internally fully differential input structure provides good common mode rejection and power supply rejection. Thermal protection and short-circuit protection are integrated for safety purpose. The internal de-pop circuitry eliminates pop noise at power-up & shutdown operations.

The TDA1400 is a one-channel, Amplifier Driver that uses Tripath’s proprietary Digital Power Processing  (DPPTM) technology. The TDA1400 offers higher integration over previous Tripath amplifiers driver  chipsets while providing exceptional audio performance for real world applications. Class-T amplifiers offer both the audio fidelity of Class-AB and the power efficiency of Class-D amplifiers. The TDA1400 is typically configured as a single supply, bridged output. This makes the power supply requirements simpler and maximizes the output power for a given voltage rail. Additionally, the TDA1400 can be configured as a split supply, bridged amplifier, with the addition of some external components. The TDA1400 is capable of full range operation but the target application is subwoofers due to the high output power capability and single channel operation.

Description

The IRS20124 is a high voltage, high speed power MOSFET driver with internal deadtime and shutdown functions specially designed for Class D audio amplifier applications. The internal dead time generation block provides accurate gate switch timing and enables tight deadtime settings for better THD performances. In order to maximize other audio performance characteristics, all switching times are designed for immunity from external disturbances such as VCC perturbation and incoming switching noise on the DT pin. Logic inputs are compatible with LSTTL output or standard CMOS down to 3.0 V without speed degradation. The output drivers feature high current buffers capable of sourcing 1.0 A and sinking 1.2 A. Internal delays are optimized to achieve minimal deadtime variations.
